OFFGRIDEXPERIENCES

A travel community — not a travel agency

You've been meaningto go.

Small groups. Real places. The kind of people you keep texting long after the trip ends.

What OffGrid is

We're a community that happens to travel. Every departure is a small group of strangers — solo travellers, founders, creators, people between chapters — who come home as each other's people.

The destination is the excuse.

Why OffGrid

The community

Word of mouth

Four hikers standing arm in arm on a ridge, facing a snow-capped mountain range
Tall palms leaning over a rocky cove at golden hour, surf breaking below
Two bowls of chaat handed across a street stall counter
Beach shacks lit along the shoreline at sunset, their lights reflected in the wet sand
People kneeling among hundreds of lit lamps laid out across the steps
A cobbled lane in Goa's Latin Quarter, yellow and ochre houses under a red church tower
Volunteers walking between rows of lit lamps covering the river steps
A quiet Panjim street of Portuguese-era houses, scooters parked along the kerb
A plate of momos and glasses of tea on a table, a mountain village behind
A waterfall stepping down through dense green forest

FAQs

The community

I've never travelled with strangers before. Is that going to be weird?

For about two hours, yes. Then it stops. Most of the group books solo and everyone arrives with the same slight apprehension, which is exactly why night one is a structured opening circle rather than an awkward dinner where nobody knows who to sit next to.

How big are the groups?

Small enough that you'll know everyone's name by day two. We cap each departure rather than filling a bus. PLACEHOLDER — confirm the actual cap.

Who actually comes on these trips?

Working professionals, founders, creators, remote workers, and people between things. Typically mid-20s to late-30s. The common thread is that everyone chose to come alone, which turns out to be the thing that makes it work.

Is this a party trip?

Some nights, in some places. But it isn't the point, and nobody is made to feel like a bad sport for sitting one out. Goa has late nights; Ladakh very much does not.

Booking

How do I book?

Pick a departure, submit the form, and we'll message you to confirm details and take payment. If you'd rather just talk it through first, WhatsApp is faster.

What if my dates don't work?

New departures go up most months. Tell us where you want to go and we'll let you know when the next one opens.

Can I book for two of us?

Yes. Plenty of people come as a pair. Mention it when you book and we'll sort the room arrangement.

Travel & packing

Are flights included?

No. You book your own flights to and from the destination, which keeps the trip price honest and lets you use points or fly from wherever you actually are. We tell you exactly which airport and what time to land.

What should I pack?

You get a destination-specific packing list once you book. It's short and it's specific — Ladakh in November and Goa in August have almost nothing in common.

How are rooms shared?

Twin or triple-shared with someone of the same gender by default. Private rooms are available on most trips for a supplement — ask when you book.

Safety

Is it safe for solo women travellers?

Yes, and it's something we plan around rather than reassure about. Same-gender room sharing by default, a trip captain with the group throughout, vetted accommodation and drivers, and nobody left to find their own way back at night.

Is there always someone from OffGrid with us?

Yes. Every departure has a trip captain on the ground for the whole trip, not just at the airport.

Do I need travel insurance?

Strongly recommended on every trip and mandatory for Ladakh, where altitude makes evacuation a real cost. We don't sell it.

Payments

What does the price include?

Accommodation, in-destination transport, all curated experiences and community events, the meals listed on the trip page, and your trip captain. Flights and personal spending are on you. Every trip page lists inclusions and exclusions in full.

Can I pay in instalments?

PLACEHOLDER — confirm whether a deposit-plus-balance structure is offered, and the split.

What's the cancellation policy?

PLACEHOLDER — no cancellation and refund policy has been written yet. This must be confirmed and published before the site takes a single booking.

Pick a date. Pack a bag. We'll handle the part where strangers become your people.
