Dev Deepawali Experience
About the experience
Fifteen days after Diwali, Varanasi does it again — and bigger. On Dev Deepawali every one of the city's eighty-eight ghats is lined with earthen lamps, and the whole riverfront turns into a single unbroken line of light.

Asked every time
Why is this a separate trip from the Varanasi Soul Experience?
Because Dev Deepawali night changes everything about how the city works — where you can stay, how you move, and what you're able to see. It needs its own plan, not a normal trip with a festival bolted on.
Will it be very crowded?
Yes. It's the busiest night of Varanasi's year. That's exactly why the boat and the walking-distance accommodation matter — they're the difference between seeing it and standing in it.
Is this good for photography?
It's one of the best nights in the country for it. You'll have a boat position for the lighting and a rooftop for the aarti. Bring something fast — it's all lamplight.
Should I book early?
Yes. Varanasi accommodation for Dev Deepawali is effectively sold out months ahead, and our seat count is fixed by boat capacity.
